Facts about the knife West TW19
Protection vest is certified and approved for German protection class KDIW 2004 Class K3. Tested in Beschussamt Munich. Detailed certification document (in German) is attached to the vest.

Certified insert protective plates - stops 40 joules!
Knivskyddsvästens outer material is made of black Cordura and worn under a regular shirt or jacket. The vest has 2.2 mm thick knife retardant plastic sheeting around the vest. The chest and back has 2.5mm thick aluminum insert protective plates that are certified to class C3.

The plates will stop as much as 40 joules in the penetration force of a blade with a cure rate 52-55 Rockwell C, with weight 2500g. By comparison, 25 joules of power equal to KR1 level of protection under the National Police Agency standard for knife protection.
